Kitāb madhāhib al-Aʻrāb wa-falāsifat al-Islām fī al-jinn
The philologist and exegete, quoted from Asās al-balāghah for a chain of idioms built on the root sense of covering, ending in the formula that a thing admits of no concealing.
And al-Zamakhsharī said in Asās al-balāghah:
Ansāb al-ʻArab al-qudamāʼ
The Quranic commentator cited for the lion form of the idol Yaghūth and for its transfer from the coast at Jiddah to Mecca.
٭ Yaghūth ٭ It comes in al-Zamakhsharī's commentary that it was in the form of a lion, and that ʻAmr ibn Luḥayy transferred it from Jiddah on the sea-coast to Mecca.
