Greek oracular god to whom Tarquinius Superbus sent spoils as gifts
and, enriched with the greatest spoil of gold and silver, he discharged his father's vow by the building of the Capitol, and led out colonies, and, after the manner of those from whom he was sprung, sent magnificent gifts, as it were libations of the spoils, to Apollo at Delphi.
