The grove-warden of the Madhuvana and Sugrīva's maternal uncle, who tries and fails to stop the monkeys from plundering the honey.
It was ever guarded by the great and mighty monkey Dadhimukha — the maternal uncle of the great-souled Sugrīva, chief of the monkeys.
Then, seeing the grove being plundered and the trees stripped of their leaves and blossoms, the monkey named Dadhimukha, in his fury, tried to restrain those monkeys.
Reassured by that great-souled Sugrīva, the highly wise Dadhimukha rose up and spoke.
