Iliad
The personified goddess of Strife, sent by Zeus to rouse the Achaeans to battle and who alone among the gods remains on the battlefield.
Discord was glad as she beheld them, for she was the only god that went among them;
There she took her stand, and raised a cry both loud and shrill that filled the Achaeans with courage, giving them heart to fight resolutely and with all their might, so that they had rather stay there and do battle than go home in their ships.
On Anger
Personified goddess of strife, invoked via poetic quotation as an image of anger's chaotic aspect.
"Bellona, brandishing the bloody scourge in her right hand," or "Discord goes rejoicing in her rent robe," or whatever more dreadful aspect of a dreadful passion can be devised.
