A rākṣasa commander slain by Rāma alongside Khara and Triśiras.
Then, at the instigation of Śūrpaṇakhā, all the Rākṣasas rose up — Khara, Triśiras, and the Rākṣasa Dūṣaṇa,
and my brothers Khara and Dūṣaṇa, both renowned for their valor in battle.
First rebuked by her and then praised again, Khara at that moment spoke to the army commander named Dūṣaṇa.
