Vālmīki Rāmāyaṇa
A rākṣasa commander slain by Rāma alongside Khara and Triśiras.
Then, at the instigation of Śūrpaṇakhā, all the Rākṣasas rose up — Khara, Triśiras, and the Rākṣasa Dūṣaṇa,
and my brothers Khara and Dūṣaṇa, both renowned for their valor in battle.
As Dūṣaṇa came rushing upon him, Rāghava severed both his arms — ornaments and all — with two arrows.
