Kitāb madhāhib al-Aʻrāb wa-falāsifat al-Islām fī al-jinn
The pupil of Ibn Taymīyah, named tenth among the philosophers of Islam whose views on the jinn the book will report.
(As for *the second aim*) it is on the views of the philosophers of Islam concerning the jinn:
an epilepsy from the wicked earthly spirits, and an epilepsy from corrupt humors (akhlāṭ).
And in them is the greatest epilepsy, from which its possessor does not recover until the parting and the beholding;
al-Saʻādah fī falsafat al-akhlāq
Author of Kitāb al-Rūḥ, the most heavily used authority in the doxographical section.
Some of them argued for it from the report ( God created the spirits two thousand years before the bodies ), and Ibn al-Qayyim followed it up with the remark that its chain is not sound.
And Ibn al-Qayyim said in Kitāb al-Rūḥ that it is the correct view and that none other holds;
