Kuśa and Lava

While the great seer of purified soul was thus reflecting, two wandering bards clad in the garb of ascetics — Kuśa and Lava — then clasped his feet.

He saw that those two — Kuśa and Lava — were royal princes endowed with righteousness, illustrious brothers blessed with melodious voices, dwelling in his hermitage.

All those sages, joyful at heart and devoted to righteousness, praised Kuśa and Lava, those two who were indeed worthy of praise, as they sang.
