Cyrus' mother, daughter of Astyages, who mediates between Persian and Median values and warns Cyrus about justice and tyranny.
and this Mandane was the daughter of Astyages, sometime king of the Medes.
Accordingly, Mandane herself went to her father and took her son Cyrus with her.
