Atharvaveda (Paippalāda)
'Lord of Beasts,' briefly named as ruler of the four-footed sacrificial animals.
Those beasts — the four-footed ones over whom Paśupati holds sway, or those that are two-footed — once ransomed they go as sacrificial offerings to the sacred realm;
O Paśupati, lord of livestock, be gracious to us and to our animals;
The auspicious body that belongs to you two, O Rudra [pair];
Vratisasana
A name of Śiva as lord of the Pāśupata moral conduct, warning of the fate of sacred implements (thread, ash, rosary) becoming instruments of torment in hell if the śīla is not protected, or blessings if it is.
Thus says Lord Paśupati.
[VS_32s-a] *The sacred thread becomes a fetter on earth,*
[VS_32s-b] *the sacred ash a fierce fire in hell, as it is here.
