He was son to the broad river Axios and Periboia eldest daughter of Akessamenos;
Odyssey
Daughter of Eurymedon and mother of Nausithoos by Poseidon, ancestress of the Phaeacian royal house.
They both descend originally from Poseidon, who was father to Nausithoos by Periboia, a woman of great beauty.
"Poseidon, however, lay with his daughter, and she had a son by him, the great Nausithoos, who reigned over the Phaeacians.
