Vālmīki Rāmāyaṇa
One of the six progenitors, ancestor of Rāvaṇa cited to argue for his worthiness.
"His son is Rāvaṇa, the destroyer of enemies, O wide-eyed one.
"And of Pulastya's mind-born son is the illustrious great sage Viśravā by name, equal in splendor to a lord of creatures.
"Among the six progenitors, the fourth lord of creatures is Pulastya — the mind-born son of Brahmā, renowned by that name.
