An apsaras sent by Indra to seduce Viśvāmitra, who is cursed to stone for ten thousand years when her attempt is discovered.
Because you, O Rambhā, seek to allure me who strive to conquer desire and anger, you shall stand as a stone for ten thousand years, O wretched one.
Śakra (Indra), together with all the hosts of Maruts, spoke to the apsaras Rambhā words that were beneficial to himself and harmful to Kauśika.
Then, from that sound, the incomparable song, and the sight of Rambhā, the sage became filled with suspicion.
