One of the Hellenotamiae (Athenian treasury officials), said to have been named Sosias, who was under sentence of death for alleged embezzlement but was rescued by the Athenian people once the truth came out, unlike his colleagues who had already been executed.
This one, whose name is said to have been Sosias, though under sentence of death, had not yet been executed.
