Vālmīki Rāmāyaṇa
The sage father of Rāvaṇa and Vaiśravaṇa (Kubera).
It is heard that the great-valoured Rāvaṇa, lord of the rākṣasas, is the very brother of Vaiśravaṇa (Kubera), the son of the sage Viśravas.
"He is the direct son of Viśravas and the brother of Vaiśravaṇa" — having uttered these words, the lord of birds relinquished his life, so hard to surrender.
