Risālat al-Wāridāt
The astronomer, invoked as the practitioner whose dated prediction of an eclipse shows how something can be conceived universally and yet occur only as a particular — the philosophers' model for God's knowledge of particulars.
And they likened it to the astronomer's knowledge that in such a year, at such an hour, at such a degree, an eclipse occurs:

Professional group (jyotiṣas) whose technical statement about unobservable eclipses is cited as corroborating evidence.
