Kitāb madhāhib al-Aʻrāb wa-falāsifat al-Islām fī al-jinn
The theologians of kalām, praised as a corrective to credulity and cited for their dispute over shape-changing.
And had you heard or seen some of what the Indians have prepared of these conjuring tricks in the houses of their worship, you would know that God, exalted be He, has bestowed a favour upon the ignorant among men in the mutakallimūn who have arisen among them — meaning the scholars of kalām and the philosophers of religion, God's good pleasure be upon them

The practitioners of kalām, Islamic dialectical theology: in this treatise they are the party that forbids the rational sciences, that contradicts itself over whether the Necessary's existence is self-evident or demonstrated, and that builds its doctrine of divine transcendence on nothing but non-existents.
