Bodily soundness, treated as a candidate end that proves subordinate, and classed among the bodily goods that serve the completion of the soul's acts.
As for those that are in the body, they are such as beauty and an even balance of health and soundness of temperament;
Each one of them has set up an end for himself which he aims at by his striving and calls his happiness — but one strives for delight (ladhdhah), another for wealth, another for health, another for mastery, another for knowledge.
