The first and most perfect of the four cosmic ages, associated with austerity, full human lifespan, and Manu's dharma.

In this Manvantara, there are *dharmas* for the Kṛta, Tretā, and other *yugas*.
The *dharmas* for men are different in the Kṛta *yuga*, the Tretā, and the Dvāpara *yuga*.
The four-faced Brahmā, having remembered the Veda, likewise remembers the *dharmas*, as does Manu in each successive *kalpāntara* (end of a cosmic cycle).
