4 The Section on Proof
Proof is said to be of two kinds:
1 The Relative Strength of the Means of Proof
Kātyāyana Smṛti
The evidentiary means (witnesses, assessors, documents) by which the matter asserted in a plaint is established.
## The Chapter on Proof
The means by which that entire matter is proven is the proof.
The assessors and the witnesses are to be known by the wise as the proof.
