## The Examination of Documents
A document is said to be of two kinds:
Nāradasmṛti
A written legal instrument used as evidence in disputes, subject to rules of validity, forgery, and replacement.
A written document attains validity even after a very long time.
One should refute a written document with another written document, and a witnessed document with witnesses.
In cases of documents that are torn, damaged, stolen, effaced, lost, or badly written, another document should be made;
