Rigveda
A set of named rivers of the northwest that mark the Maruts' course and the poet's wealth.

And the pure ones dwell wrapped in wool upon the Paruṣṇī;
On the Yamunā, glorious beyond measure — I groom away the wealth in cattle;
Vratisasana
Named sacred rivers cited as examples of beautiful waters to which the ascetic must not become attached.
Attachment to water is addiction to the charm of water, such as a bathing place, a lake, a spring, a river, the Narmadā, the Gaṅgā, the Sarayū, or the ocean.
