Vālmīki Rāmāyaṇa
A great sage who gives Rāma the Aindra bow and inexhaustible arrows.
Slaying the demon Virādha, he visited Śarabhaṅga, then Sutīkṣṇa, then Agastya, and Agastya's brother as well.
At Agastya's word, and greatly pleased, he received the Aindra bow, a sword, and two quivers of inexhaustible arrows.
"Agastya, in extreme fury, pronounced a curse on Mārīca saying 'Become a rākṣasa!
