Sāṃkhyatattvavivecana
The cosmic Self-existent (Svayambhū) whose gross body constitutes the fourteen worlds and from whom Brahmā and all individual beings and subtle bodies proceed.
By that very body the Self-existent is called {{liṅgaśarīra|Nārāyaṇa}}.
since they were his first abode (ayana), he is therefore remembered as 'Nārāyaṇa'"—and so forth.
