The Rakṣas, the fire that does not dry up, the overpowering one — like a lion in the house, drive away those active in the night.

slay the Rakṣas, O bountiful, subdue them.

With its horns it pushes away the Rakṣas, with its root the Yātudhānīs;

With the amulet jaṅgiḍa given by the gods, bestower of bliss, we overpower viṣkandha and all the rakṣas-demons in combat.
