Risālah fī ʻilm al-akhlāq
The vice of unchecked advance, where the impulse to go forward outruns the power to hold back.
Recklessness is that the soul's compliance in advancing be stronger than its compliance in holding back, so that it advances upon what it is not permitted to advance upon by the revealed law or by intellect.
Adab al-wazīr
The vice of excess boldness, defined at court as presumption toward the ruler and acting before the opportunity.
rashness (khurq) is presuming upon the ruler, and springing before the opportunity.
