Risālah fī ʻilm al-akhlāq
The subtle bodily spirit seated in the brain, regulated by medicine and credited with a large share in preserving virtue.
Among them is the setting right of the psychic spirit (al-rūḥ al-nafsānī) that is in the brain, in respect of its quality, its quantity, and its consistency, by the art of bodily medicine;
