Kitāb al-Safīnah al-Nūḥīyah fī al-sakīnah al-rūḥīyah
The extreme points of the inhabited world, invoked to describe the spirit's traversal of the whole distance within one stretch of time.
And within a single stretch of time the spirit is found at the beginning of it in the west and at the end of it in the east, so that one supposes of it that in a single instant it was in two places.
Risālat al-Wāridāt
The East, the West and the whole expanse of the earth, invoked as the compass of the Islamic Law's diffusion from its point of origin.
And our Prophet, the Hāshimī, the Qurashī, the Arab, the unlettered, the bearer of the purified Islamic Law whose light shone forth from the East and lit up the West and stretched north and south until it covered the broad earth, came confirming what they had brought and holding their laws valid, save what he was inspired to abrogate.
