Kitāb al-Zawrāʼ wa-al-taʻlīqāt ʻalayhi
The river whose name al-Zawrāʼ the author gives to his treatise, the aptness lying in the effusion that came of visiting the shrines on its banks.
I have named it *al-Zawrāʼ*, which is a name of the Tigris (*al-Dijlah*), and the aptness is plain, together with the hint it carries that this effusion (*fayḍ*) comes of visiting the holy shrines and the companionable stations.
