Vālmīki Rāmāyaṇa

Water had been brought from the sacred confluence of the Gaṅgā and Yamunā, and from other holy rivers, lakes, wells, and ponds.
"Surely we have reached the confluence of the Gaṅgā and the Yamunā — for the sound of water meeting water is heard.
