Inherence
Ancient Annaṃbhaṭṭa SanskritAnTs_79
samavāya (Inherence) is the eternal relation. It resides in things that are inseparable (ayutasiddha). Two things are inseparable when, of the two, one, so long as it is not destroyed, abides only as supported by the other. For example: the part and the whole, the quality and its substrate, the action and that which acts, the universal and the individual, and the ultimate particularity and the eternal substance.
