Who sinks not in the supportless deep

Who crosses this flood, day and night untiring? Who, in the supportless, baseless deep, does not sink?

He who is wholly perfect in virtue, wise, well composed, inwardly reflective, and mindful—he crosses this [flood] so hard to cross.

Detached from the perceptions of sensual desire, gone beyond the fetter of form—he, in the supportless, baseless deep, does not sink.
