Letter 132
Late Antiquity Basil of Caesarea Greek- To Abramius, Bishop of Batnae
All the time since autumn I have been ignorant of where your Reverence was staying. For I found the reports conflicting, some announcing that your Reverence was lodging at Samosata, others in the country, and others affirming that they had seen you about Batnae itself; and for this reason I did not write continually. But now, having learned that you are staying at Antioch, in the house of the most reverend Saturninus the count, I have eagerly given the letter to the most beloved and most reverend brother Sanctissimus, my fellow-presbyter, through whom I greet your Charity, begging you, wherever you may be, to remember above all God, and then us also, whom you chose from the first to love, and to keep numbered among those most your own.
