Letter 144
Late Antiquity Basil of Caesarea Greek- To a Secretary of the Prefects
You assuredly know this man from your meeting in the city; yet I commend him to you also by letter, assuring you that he will be useful to you in many of your concerns, because he is able to suggest what should be done both prudently and reverently. And those things which you spoke into my ear — now is the time to show them forth, when the aforesaid brother shall point out to you the affairs of the poor.
