Risālah fī ʻilm al-akhlāq
The good, whose company is prescribed as a regimen and whose reward the scriptural verse names.
Among them, too, is sitting in the company of the righteous and listening to their counsels, and keeping clear of the dissolute and of listening to their talk;
Kitāb al-Safīnah al-Nūḥīyah fī al-sakīnah al-rūḥīyah
The righteous of the hereafter, whose rank is marked by the total removal of rancour and of any inclination of the heart toward the forbidden.
And above it is a rank with which no inclination of the heart remains, and it is the rank of the righteous in Paradise, to which God, exalted be He, alluded in His saying (And We removed what was in their breasts of rancour).
Then the soul is in the Blaze, the spirit (rūḥ) in bliss, the heart (qalb) among the loftiest heights, and the secret with an Omnipotent Sovereign — that is, the possessor of the heart and the possessor of the secret.
