Kitāb al-Safīnah al-Nūḥīyah fī al-sakīnah al-rūḥīyah
The practitioners of rational speculation whose unresolved disputes made the question of the spirit a battlefield without demonstrative settlement.
Now disputation is carried through only in a place of disagreement upon which no conclusive demonstration stands and over which no radiant light rises, so that the contenders pull at the ends of the discourse.
