Bayān zaghl al-ʻilm wa-al-ṭalab
The prophetic Sunnah, treated as one of the two true principles of religion, as the norm whose apparent contravention required Abū Ḥanīfah's defence, and as the title-subject of a polemical literature.
This is a grand name, and it applies properly to the retaining by heart of the Book and the Sunnah, for these two, and nothing else, are the principles of the religion of Islam.
[23] appears from their books on the attributes, on divine unity, on the refutation of the Jahmīyah, on the censure of kalām and on the Sunnah, and from what they have composed on the criticism of transmitters.

Kitāb al-Zawrāʼ wa-al-taʻlīqāt ʻalayhi
The prophetic tradition, paired with the Book as the source whose outward indications are affirmed and whose inner realities are elicited.
And it is the leading of others into error in respect of the fact that when the one to whom they are conveyed does not understand their realities, there is thrown into confusion for him what had been settled for him of the hidden summary truths that map onto the details which the common people are charged with, and which he had taken in sum from the sunnah of the true Law;

Risālat al-Wāridāt
The Sunnah and the hadith corpus, invoked as one of the three sources establishing the revealed attributes and as the specific warrant for the efficacy of supplication and for the bodily vision of God in Paradise.
And supplication is of benefit, as the Sunnah has come down concerning it and as the Book has indicated — contrary to the Muʻtazilah, who deny that and interpret away the plain proofs.
and they shall see their Lord in the Garden with their eyes, as has come down in the ḥadīth and as the noble verse has indicated, while holding [Him] free of everything that would suggest corporeality with respect to God Most High — contrary to the Muʻtazilah, who deny the admissibility of that.
they are established by the Book, the Sunnah and consensus, so that we are obliged to believe in them, while holding the essence of the Real free of bodily organ and of contact.
