For one who meditates upon this concise [exposition] uttered by Abhinavagupta, [which is] the supreme Brahman, Śiva-hood comes, before long, to enter into [pervade] his own heart.

This most profoundly hidden essence of the scriptures has been compressed in a hundred āryā (the mātrā (moraic) meter of all 105 verses) verses by me, Abhinavagupta, made radiant by the remembrance of Śiva's feet.
