    1. To the People of Satala

    The Lord has brought to fulfilment the requests of his people, and has given them, through our lowly ministry, a shepherd worthy of the name — not one who, like the many, peddles the word, but one able to please you in surpassing measure, you who love the rightness of the preaching and have embraced the life that is lived according to the commandments of the Lord; and this in the name of the Lord who has filled him with his spiritual gifts.
