Letter 201
Late Antiquity Basil of Caesarea Greek- To Amphilochius, Bishop of Iconium.
I long to meet you for many reasons: that I might take your counsel about the matters now in hand, and, in short, that after so long a separation the sight of you might give me some consolation for the parting. But since one and the same thing has held us both back — the illness that has befallen you and the older infirmity of mine, which has not yet let me go — let us, if you are willing, grant pardon to each other for it, so that of ourselves we may release one another from the charge.
