Late Antiquity Basil of Caesarea Greek- Without title It is pointless to write twice about the same matter. For either the affair admits by its nature of no correction, and those who come to us trouble us in vain, or else those who receive the letters disregard us, and so we are foolish to write to men who hold us in contempt. Since, then, you have already received a letter on this same subject, and we have now been compelled to write a second time, either set the matter right, if it is in your power, or make known to us the reason why what was enjoined has long gone undone.
