The knowers

Then the knowers are of five ranks:

when he is immersed in the sea of rejoicing in the Truth, exalted be He, and in nothing else, an extraordinary thing comes about in his movements or in some of his conditions.

So it is not unlikely that the thoughts of a knowing person should work a strange act upon the bodies of the elements and the animals, and press them into his purpose, just as our thoughts do upon our bodies.

And since man is powerless to set up (3) these matters here mentioned by his own essence, he is brought to a guide who guides him.

But the knower, the perceptive one who has a strong soul, is not overcome by the rulings of the particularities of the abodes, nor does the ruling of one abode veil them from the rulings of the other abodes, and so he recognizes it in the rest of its garments.

And hold yourself open to the breaths of God in the days of your time, for the moments have peculiarities that the knowers know.

But the soul that encompasses the realities and their turning about in the forms according to the abodes does know the truth of the matter.

The knower shies from the company of this world's animals as a living man shies from being coupled with the dead and the denizens of the graves.
